Learn key safety techniques for handling and riding horses while understanding their behavior for a secure and confident experience.

​Discover the differences between English and Western riding and understand which style you’ll be riding.

Gain hands-on experience in horse care by learning how to properly groom, tack up, and maintain your horse.

Practice fundamental groundwork skills, such as leading a horse, to build trust and establish effective communication.

Develop a strong riding foundation by mastering proper position, steering, stopping, walking, and even introductory trotting.

Tiny Scouts Adventure
"Package 2"

​For the youngest of Scouts, kids will enjoy gentle, hand-led pony rides, giving them a fun and safe introduction to horseback riding.
​

Get hands-on with a pony grooming session, where they can brush and care for their new four-legged friend.

To top it all off, they’ll explore a mini petting zoo, meeting and interacting with a variety of friendly farm animals.

It’s an exciting, interactive experience filled with smiles, laughter, and unforgettable memories!

Boy Scout Horsemanship Merit Badge

​

Perfect for ages 12 and up, this experience offers the opportunity to learn basic steering and stopping while gaining hands-on experience out on the trail.

Participate in a hands-on session, learning how to properly groom and tack up a horse Western-style for trail riding.

This exciting and educational adventure is perfect for riders looking to build confidence and connect with horses in a beautiful outdoor setting!​​​​

Horseback Riding Badge

Riders will be divided into groups and rotate through different activities including a 30 minute riding session.

Minimum age of 8 yrs old
Maximum of 18 riders
Minimum of 8 riders or $320
(participants do not have to be scouts)

​

You do not have to be a Junior Girl Scout to sign up for this package, but this is geared towards the Juniors earning their badge.
Tiny Scout Adventure

1 hr Program
Riders will be divided into groups and rotate through different sessions.
*No petting Zoo*

minimum of 10 riders or $250
(*based on two ponies per 10 kids*)
(participants do not have to be scouts)
